Who else do we provide services to?
Australians spend $1.6B a year on grooming for their pets. That investment can be repurposed for the planet as well.
Pets have always been a special part of families, and we're now investing more than ever before in making sure they look and feel great. Grooming is a booming industry, and just like salons for their paw-rents, pet groomers and day spas are able to divert around 95% of the waste they generate from landfill.
Pet groomers use a very similar range of range of products to human salons.
Shampoos, conditioners, scents, creams and balms are all common parts of today's pet grooming service. Containers, bottles and tubes from these products are generally all recyclable, but it's also the mountains of put fur clippings that can be repurposed. Just like human hair, pet fur can be utilised in soil reconditioning and fertilisers, land restoration projects, and "hair booms" for cleaning up oil spills in waterways.
