Hair booms from Waste Free Systems are made from recycled hair collected through our salon recycling network, and reused to filter sediment, trap contaminants and absorb oil across construction and civil worksites.
It's a renewable, locally sourced alternative to synthetic silt socks and boom, doing the same job on-site, with a lower footprint.
Each boom absorbs 5–8 litres of oil and can be reused multiple times.
